Job Title: Lead Electrical Engineer
Location: South East
Rate: £550 - £600
Duration: 12 Months

Our Client:
A Major in the oil and gas industry

The Role:

The Electrical TA is responsible for delivery of the electrical scope of the WND Project throughout the project lifecycle including delivery and assurance of HV and LV electrical systems packages and equipment.

-Lead and coordinate engagement with all the engineering contractors on Electrical engineering issues.
-Ensure adherence to all Electrical related client Engineering Technical Practices (ETP) and Industry Standards and review / advise on deviations
-Provide guidance on appropriate designs and systems to prevent, control and mitigate risks.
-Support of client and contractor assurance processes (Engineering Design Reviews, stage gate reviews etc.)
-Review (and approval of key) contractor and vendor design documents
-Equipment OEM reviews
-Participate in project reviews and ensure they are effective and address all appropriate areas of Electrical design.
-Provide technical package management support to all packages with significant Electrical content.
-Incorporation of client and industry best practice

Essential Skills and Qualifications:
-Diesel power generation equipment and power system design
-Power system studies – load flows, fault and motor starting studies
-Electrical protection systems and co-ordination
-The selection, operation and maintenance of electrical equipment in hazardous areas
-Electrical equipment (IEC) – HV/LV switchgear and rotating machinery
-Specification of VSD technology
