Qioptiq Singapore has an established Optical Coating department. It coats various types of optical coatings on glass substrates (lenses and prisms) to achieve specific optical wave transmission or reflection. In order to meet increasing technology and market demand, we are seeking experienced engineers to join our engineering team in Singapore.

SENIOR QA ENGINEER/QA ENGINEER
The Persons:

The right candidates should have several years of practical experience in optical coating design and development. They must be familiar with the operations of high vacuum coating machines.

The Job:

The engineers will design and develop new optical coatings based on customers’ requirements, using computer software to design the coating processes.

They will test and verify the designs by conducting the process in the coating machines. They have to improve process quality and efficiency on a continuous basis, besides supporting production in solving daily technical problems.


The Requirements:

1) Qualification: In Optics, Optical coating or Physics (Minimum a Bachelor Degree)
2) Experience: Several years of working experience in optical coating for precision optics.

Requirements

-Master/ Doctoral degree in engineering (Thermal, Chemical, Building Materials, Mechanical)
-Experience in the research field preferred, but not a must
-Fluent in English
-Ability to work in a highly confidential environment



Responsibilities

-Lead/ participate in a professional team to design the mechanical, electrical , chemical or thermal components of specific products
-Select related building materials
-Cooperate with other mechanical, electrical, chemical and thermal engineers to ensure timely delivery of products
-Complete and file associated technical documentation
-Provide mechanical, electrical, chemical or thermal energy technical support to existing projects
-All other job duties as assigned by supervisors
