Job Description:
Swift Oil and Gas are currently recruiting for a Lead Mechanical Engineer on behalf of our client - a global EPC company.
The Lead Mechanical Engineer will be based in their London offices and will be responsible for developing mechanical concepts and detailed mechanical design and analyses for offshore topside facilities (FEED through to DETAILED engineering phases).
This position is a key staff role for our client and will offer the succesful candidate an exciting career opportunity.
Required Experience/Qualifications;
Minimum 15 years experience of Mechanical Engineering (atleats 5 of which must be offshore)
Proven specialisation in either static or rotating equipment topside offshore package plant including specification and technical bid conditioning
Knowledge of industry standards and UK offshore regulations
Previous supervisory/lead enineer experience from international projects would be very advantageous
Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Chartered Preferred)
Start Date - ASAP (urgent)
Salary - dependent on experience

Purpose: To provide pipeline engineering expertise supporting Kashagan Full Field Development Early Works (EW) Programme with specific responsibilities for the pipelines between the Onshore Processing Plant, EP facilities and export route pipelines (inter-plant and export route connection pipelines).
To provide significant technical input into KWAC generated deliverables such as philosophies, reports, drawings specifications, data sheets not only for pipelines discipline but also other disciplines (e.g. HSE, Control Systems, Telecomms, Electrical, Mechanical, Piping etc)
To assist with coordinating the additional interfaces on the project and attend/chair discipline meetings as required
To assist the Senior Onshore Pipelines Engineer leading the technical scopes of work for the inter-plant and export route connection pipelines for EW
To assist the Senior Onshore Pipelines Engineer to define the technical scopes of work for the Execution Contracts (EPC) award.
To provide pipeline project engineering expertise to support Kashagan field development plans, infrastructure and operation support projects as well as any other activity requiring project pipeline engineering support.
Suitable candidates will have;
Experience in previous similar company role, especially in managing and interfacing with major Contractors. FEED experience Development pipeline engineering solutions for all the onshore pipelines. Revision of pipeline cost estimates. Working knowledge of all relevant discipline codes and standards and detailed knowledge of RoK & ISO code 13623.
