Upstream General Manager

Brightoil Petroleum (Holdings) Ltd.

Listed on the Mainboard of the Hong Kong stock exchange, Brightoil Petroleum (Holdings) Limited is a fast growing company specialised in petroleum business (including oil storage facilities and terminals, marine bunkering chain service, marine transportation as well as oil & gas exploration and production). Brightoil operates in international trading with headquarter in Hong Kong and extensive operations in major cities of China and Singapore. We are inviting high calibre candidates to join our company in the following role.

Upstream General Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Provide advice and input on all of upstream project, from exploration through to development and production.

- Evaluate potential upstream (oil & gas exploration & exploitation) assets.

- Identify new upstream business opportunities & work with external consultants, advisors & contractors to undertake the project evaluation plan.

- Able to closely liaise with relevant stakeholders including local government, farmers, joint venture partners and oil major representatives.

- Monitor engineering activities of oil rigs / field works.

- Experience in project scoping / negotiation / contracting activities, operability reviews and / or de-bottlenecking would be considered an asset.

- Assist in performing commercial and financial due diligence, discounted cashflow analysis and ultimate valuations.

- Assist the co-ordination / monitoring of the commercial and financial aspects of the upstream business, including budgets, expenditure, etc.

- Provide leadership on Health, Environmental & Safety issues.

REQUIREMENTS:

- Degree in Engineering.

- 10 -15 years relevant professional experience in oil & gas related industry.

- Exceptional Project Management experience.

- Strong analytical, organization, planning and presentation skills.

- Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills in written/spoken Mandarin, Cantonese and English.

- Familiarity with PRC Production Sharing Contracts (PSC's) and Overall Development Plans would be an advantage.

- Frequent travel to PRC, SE Asia, US, Australia & other regions will be required.

Job Description:
Our client, a leading service provider in the Oil and Gas industry has an immediate requirement for a Senior Instrument & Control Engineer to join the Electrical and Instrument (E&I) Team within in their Compliance and Engineering Services Department (CESD). The CESD provides, consultancy certification, classification and verification services to the Energy industry.

The primary role involves the review of clients design documentation for compliance with regulations codes and standards plus consultancy services.

Occasional travel required for client meetings and offshore visits.

Job Responsibilities

Main Responsibilities:
• Reporting to the E&I Team Lead
• Performing review of design documentation for compliance with regulations, codes and standards.
• Providing good control of projects, including communicating with clients, financial control and timely and accurate reporting.
• Provide technical assistance/advice as requested to internal and external clients.
• Performing SIL analysis, PFD calculations

Job Requirements

Technically strong, you will have good communication skills and a willingness to find solutions as well as problems. The role will require confidence in making decisions, sometimes under pressure and an understanding of the commercial aspects of your work.

As a guide, the candidate will ideally have:
• A degree qualified and chartered Instrumentation & Control Engineer
• A proven track record in instrument & control design,
• Experience in the Oil & Gas sector
• Expertise in SIL, risk graphs, LOPA,
• Expertise in dynamic positioning systems
• Expertise in fire and gas detection & control
• Expertise in field instrumentation
• Expertise in DCS and ESD systems and proof test requirements
• Knowledge of applicable international codes and standards
• Ability to perform PFD Calculations
• Ability to facilitate or chair SIL assessments
• Ability to perform FMEA
• Ability to present subject training courses.

Job Description:
Our client, a Global Oil & Gas Service provider has an immediate requirement for a Senior Structural Specialist - Floating Offshore Installations (FOI). The role includes technology development, rule development, software development and training for FOI structures. It also involves providing support on client projects via the Regional FOI managers. The position reports to the Global Technology Leader – FOI. Considerable liaison with colleagues from the Marine business stream is expected in the areas of competence, software development and rules.

Based in Aberdeen (or London), it is anticipated that short stays in London or Aberdeen will be a necessary part of the role as will some international travel.

Job Responsibilities

A) Implement the overall technology plan for FOI structures.

This to include:

Coordination and Project management

• Delivering structures aspects of the technology plan within time and to budget
• Reporting progress against plan to Global Technology Leader – FOI

Technology

• Executing aspects of the technology programme and/or acting as a programme manager for
each phase of the development
• Developing technical specifications for FOI software
• Participation in Joint Industry collaborative projects for FOIs
• Responsible for updating hull structure, topsides structure aspects of all FOI regulations
and associated procedures.

B) Corporate governance

• Maintenance of competence requirements for hull structure and topsides structure.

C) Support for operations

• Deliver the training plan and associated modules (both for internal staff and clients) to ensure smooth implementation of the FOI regulations into the business.
• Work together with IMO/IACS interface and internal support as a coherent team to provide streamlined FOI technical service to the business.
• Provide support on a reimbursable basis on client projects or other operational matters via the Regional FOI managers.

Job Requirements

• Familiar with IACS' CSR Rules, Procedures and software for oil tankers.
• Good understanding of structural engineering principles.
• Team player
• Good command of written and spoken English
• Chartered Engineer or equivalent
• Masters degree or equivalent in Naval Architecture or an allied engineering subject
