C++ Developers - Unix, Java and C#, Equity Derivatives Technology (Hong Kong)
Our client is a 1st tier investment bank.
As a result of ongoing growth they seek to recruit an experienced, high caliber professional to join the Equity Derivatives Technology team as C++ Developers - UNIX, Java and C# based in Hong Kong.
Scope of Responsibilities:
* Be a key contributor in the front-end application development team;
* Collaborate with Business Analysts and users to design features to support the required business functionalities;
* Design and develop features with users’ goals in mind;
* Deliver the final product not only functionally capable from business perspective but also pleasant to use from user perspective;
* Interact with core platform team, database team and business automation team to deliver the required functionalities;
* Provide training and support to end users as well as to a range of dependent teams, including testing team and production support team in other regions.
Candidate Specifications:
* Degree in Computer Science or above;
* Minimum 5 years of development experience in an investment banking environment;
* Minimum 3 years of development experience on either cash equities/equity derivatives, order management/execution systems/risk management systems;
* Expert in C++/Java/C#;
* Core Java, J2SE, JMS to build multi-threaded & low latency applications preferred;
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills (ability to give examples of how these have been applied);
* Capable of designing systems from scratch & making architectural decisions independently;
* Good understanding of Electronic Trading (Front Office) operations, Algorithmic Trading & DMA Business;
* Proficient in spoken and written English.

Scope of Responsibilities:
* Lead Kaizen events;

Responsibilities :
Reporting to the Corporate Head of Manufacturing, the selected candidate will lead a team of subject matter experts to drive standardized HSE excellence initiatives across all group manufacturing facilities. The position is a corporate role overseeing several mega-sized manufacturing plants including oil refineries and petrochemical facilities.
He/She will be responsible for development and implementation of a comprehensive HSE strategy including Training & Development of employees across various sites; monitor their implementation and compliance at regular basis; assist in building world class HSE systems, tools & techniques and models; and provide expert inputs into new plant design from HSE perspective.
The selected candidate will help maximise plant utilization, reliability and safety at the lowest cost; and assist in developing knowledge management systems with specific reference to corporate SHE programs.
Key Result Areas will include HSE Excellence; Plant Uptime, Reliability and Safety; Productivity & Cost; Compliance; and Talent and Capability building.
Requirements :
Ideal candidates will be engineering graduates from premier institutes with at least 20~25 years of experience in Health, Safety and Environment functions in large and complex refining, chemicals or petrochemicals plants.
They should have in-depth knowledge and expertise in global best practices, multi-location standardisation, world-class systems, models, tools and techniques. They should be familiar with leading large teams of technical experts and manage the entire HSE Supply Chain.
