Role
An opportunity has arisen for a Lead Mechanical Engineer to work in the Onshore Engineering Team. The Project is expected to be initially located in the London area during the front end design and detailed engineering phases before relocating to the site near Alexandria, Egypt during Project construction and commissioning.

Responsibilities
- Act as Mechanical Technical Authority within the Onshore Engineering Team and lead mechanical system specification and design activities.
- Implementation of The Clients Major Project Common Practices (MPcp) Engineering and Quality Management expectations within discipline area
- Oversee engineering quality performance during FEED and Detailed Design for mechanical systems.
- Ensure mechanical systems are designed, supplied, installed and commissioned to meet first year operational performance criteria.

Qualification(s)
Candidates will have knowledge and experience of front end engineering design, detailed design and technical support of construction and commissioning for major projects. Knowledge and experience will typically include:
- Professionally qualified engineer (IMechE or equivalent preferred) with subject matter expert experience
- Thorough knowledge of industry standards and The clients ETPs within discipline area
- Proven competence in turbo-compressor and Power Generation system design, procurement and operation

Job Description:
Swift Oil and Gas are currently recruiting for a Lead Mechanical Engineer on behalf of our client - a global EPC company.

The Lead Mechanical Engineer will be based in their London offices and will be responsible for developing mechanical concepts and detailed mechanical design and analyses for offshore topside facilities (FEED through to DETAILED engineering phases).

This position is a key staff role for our client and will offer the succesful candidate an exciting career opportunity.

Required Experience/Qualifications;

Minimum 15 years experience of Mechanical Engineering (atleats 5 of which must be offshore)

Proven specialisation in either static or rotating equipment topside offshore package plant including specification and technical bid conditioning

Knowledge of industry standards and UK offshore regulations

Previous supervisory/lead enineer experience from international projects would be very advantageous

Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Chartered Preferred)




Start Date - ASAP (urgent)

Salary - dependent on experience
