Director - Asia Pacific, Global Operation Excellent (Shanghai, China)

Our client is the world's largest online marketplace with headquarter in the U.S.


As a result of ongoing growth they seek to recruit an experienced, high caliber professional to join the Global Operation Excellent team as Director - Asia Pacific. Reporting to the headquarter in the U.S., and the position is based in Shanghai, China.

Scope of Responsibilities:

* Lead Kaizen events;
Focus Operational Excellence efforts to generate improvement in the customer experience as measured by Net Promoter Score;
- Operationalize NPS methodology to drive execution in an effective, scalable, and repeatable way;
- Increase loyalty of buyers and sellers, creating differentiation as measured by NPS scores and market share;
- Build NPS passion, understanding and usage in all facets of the organization;
- Effectively manage resource conflicts, mediate highly complex and sometimes conflicting issues involving multiple groups (e.g. increasing buyer and seller loyalty);
Define productivity opportunities yielding year-over-year cost improvement with direct involvement in delivering targets;
* Enable reinvestment in customer experience;
- Lead benchmarking efforts and provide insight into opportunities to improve cost structure and process effectiveness;
- Link productivity gains to customer experience delivery and reinvestment;
Lead an ongoing effort to transform processes and employee mindset to drive efficiency and effectiveness throughout the organization;
- Design, build and empower a culture focused on efficient delivery of high quality customer experience to grow the business;
- Build, train and mentor a high performing team of operational excellence professionals and lead, integrate and manage the activities of global and regional operational excellence professionals worldwide;
- Develop strong working relationships with senior executives in the business;
* Provide opportunities to bring operational excellence into the daily routines;
* Hire, develop and retain outstanding individuals for the organization.

Candidate Specifications:

* Must be a current Master Black Belt level;
* Degree in Engineering or Finance related field;
* Advanced degree (MBA) or commensurate experience;
* 10-15 years of well rounded management experience;
* Minimum 10 years of successful executive level experience leading operational excellence in multinational technology based business;
* Must have led Kaizen events;
* Must have experience with visual workflow;
* Experienced in successfully managing a centralized function within a fast paced, decentralized business environment;
Expert knowledge of Six Sigma and NPS methodology and implementation;
* Strong focus on planning and effective change management;
Demonstrated team building and motivation skills;
Strong financial and analytical skills with ability to move quickly from insight to action;
* Work well in a team environment;
* Ability to adhere to highest ethical standards;
* Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills in English.
