Job Description:

Assurance of electrical generation and distribution systems for all of SNS assets in line with company policy and legislation. This is achieved by providing daily support to the offshore platforms and terminal to ensure safe and reliable operations.

Ensuring technical integrity, reliability, availability and maintainability of electrical generation and distribution systems are optimised so that production targets can be achieved.

Manage and support the day to day maintenance of the onshore and offshore facilities electrical systems.

Proactive team member providing and reviewing cost effective solutions to problematic electrical issues using new technology as appropriate through the PMP system.

Act as Technical Authority liaising with external bodies such as HSE and IVB and internally assisting with incident reports and investigations.

Owner of the company Electrical Safety Rules and Competency Procedure ensuring all technicians are assessed and competent as necessary.

Responsibility for ensuring Performance Standards and statutory legislation are complied with, review and update maintenance strategies and audit maintenance activities relating to the Electrical function.

Mentor Electrical Technicians/Student Engineers and provide cover for Instrument Engineer as necessary.

Ensure all equipment in hazardous areas is maintained in accordance with BS EN 60079 parts 14, 17 & 19.

Member of a relevant professional engineering institution (such as the IET).
