Job Description:

The individual will be Degree qualified in an appropriate engineering subject, with at least 10 years experience in the offshore oil and gas industry.

The position provides general mechanical support and technical assurance to the onshore and offshore operations in line with company policy and applicable legislation, with individual responsibility for Rotating Machinery.

This role would suit an engineering degree qualified candidate with industrial experience. Duties initially include maintaining condition monitoring programs and performance based regimes of gas turbines, compressors and auxiliary equipment. However, there is an expectation for the successful applicant to make this position their own, taking ownership and responsibility in solving the various problems that arise. Previous experience of gas turbines and compressors is desirable along with an understanding of machine vibration and condition monitoring. This position is based onshore but will involve occasional need to go Offshore.

Qualification / Experience requirements / Personal attributes:

The jobholder must possess very strong operational knowledge and practical experience of offshore based rotating equipment, especially gas turbines (both aeroderivative and light industrial) and centrifugal compressors, along with a sound knowledge of engineering, maintenance, planning, logistics and relevant legislation.

The individual would ideally be degree (or equivalent) qualified in an appropriate engineering subject, with at least 10 years experience in the offshore oil and gas industry.
